KochFest is an annual community feeding program in Nairobi organized by Empowered Dreams Initiative (EDI), a grassroots CBO based in the Korogocho slums. It is a unique charity event in Nairobi that combines food, music, and joy to create lasting impact for children and families living in vulnerable conditions.
In December 2024, we successfully hosted the first KochFest in Korogocho, feeding 500 children and giving them a dignified, joyful end to the year. This December 2025, we return with a bigger mission — to feed 1,000 children in Korogocho and double the impact through the power of partnerships.
