Where We Work

Empowered Dreams Initiative (EDI) is deeply rooted in the heart of Korogocho, one of Nairobi’s most underserved communities. Over the years, our reach has grown to surrounding neighborhoods — Babadogo, Gomongo, Kariobangi, and Dandora — where poverty, unemployment, and limited access to education and healthcare continue to affect thousands of children, youth, and young mothers.

Through our holistic and community-driven approach, we bring hope, healing, and transformation — empowering individuals to rise above their challenges and create a brighter future for themselves and their families.

 Our Headquarters and Field Presence

Our coordination hub is based in Korogocho Slums-Nairobi County, from where we manage and implement community programs across informal settlements in the city’s eastern region.

We work closely with local leaders, volunteers, schools, and partner organizations to ensure that our impact remains grassroots-led, inclusive, and sustainable.

As we grow, Empowered Dreams Initiative plans to expand to other counties across Kenya and the East African region, scaling our proven models in youth empowerment, mental health, menstrual health, and women’s economic resilience.

Who We Serve

• Youth, both in and out of school, looking for mentorship and life skills

• Education & Skills Development – Empowering children and adolescents through mentorship, training, and scholarship programs.

• Economic Empowerment – Supporting small business development, vocational skills, and income-generating initiatives.

• Menstrual Health & Dignity – Educating girls and providing access to sanitary towels to promote menstrual equity.

• Child Nutrition & Feeding Programs – Serving nutritious meals to children in Korogocho and surrounding areas.

• Community Development & Inclusion – Creating safe spaces and fostering community-led initiatives for lasting change.

• Climate Action & Environmental Stewardship – Promoting environmental education, waste management, tree planting, and climate resilience among youth and communities.
