Empowered Dreams Initiative (EDI) is a registered community-based organization (CBO) based in Korogocho Slums, Nairobi. We dedicate ourselves to empowering vulnerable children, girls, young mothers, and families living in Korogocho through holistic programs focused on mental health support, education, mentorship, menstrual hygiene, economic empowerment, and food security.
Korogocho Slums is one of Nairobi’s largest informal settlements facing poverty, trauma, and limited access to essential services. EDI is on the ground every day bringing sustainable change and hope.

Mentoring children and youth in Korogocho with leadership training, digital skills, and career guidance.
Distributing sanitary pads and providing menstrual health education to help girls maintain dignity and attend school.
Providing nutritious meals and emergency food assistance to hungry children and vulnerable families.
Training youth and young mothers in business skills, financial literacy, and vocational trades.
We conduct home visits, GBV prevention workshops, child protection awareness, and referrals to social services tailored to the Korogocho community.
